Report vegetation near powerlines

Use this form to report any vegetation that's growing too close to powerlines. If the vegetation is touching our powerlines, please call us on 132 004. Property owners are responsible for keeping vegetation on their property safely clear from service lines that connect to homes and property. Only authorised contractors should trim trees near powerlines.

Before you begin make sure you have the 6-digit identification number located on the power pole closest to the vegetation issue.

Where's the affected powerline? There are different types of powerlines.

  • A distribution line is the powerline that typically runs along the street between power poles

  • A service line is typically the powerline that runs from the distribution line / power pole to a property

It’s important to identify the correct powerlines affected. The diagram below may help identify the affected powerline.
