Are you missing out on energy concessions?
We've partnered with our peer signatories to The Energy Charter to develop a new campaign dedicated to helping more Tasmanians access the energy concessions they're entitled to.
Many Tasmanians are doing it tough right now with the increased cost of living. But the good news is: energy concessions from the government are available right now. Energy concessions are money off your energy bills and back in your pocket.
As a proud signatory to The Energy Charter, TasNetworks, together with the other signatory organisations have worked in collaboration to design a campaign to promote the concessions people may be entitled to.
But how do you know if you’re eligible?
Do you have a Commonwealth concession card – such as a Centrelink Pensioner Card, a Centrelink Health Care Card or a Veterans’ Affairs Gold Card?
And, is your name on the electricity or gas bill, or have you moved house recently?
Then you could be eligible. And, if you get your energy from your strata or landlord in a caravan park, apartment building or retirement home or village – you could also be missing out on savings, ask your energy provider today.
So how do you get an energy concession?
If you haven't got a concession card , apply for one now and ensure your concession information is updated. Get a concession card at concessions.tas.gov.au.
Contact your energy provider today and ask: what concessions am I eligible for? Alternatively, download a copy of the Government Discounts and Concessions Guide to view a full list of concessions available to the Tasmanan community.
